Me

So, I'm a 3rd year business and management student with a foundation degree in travel and tourism and have a huge passion for anything and everything travel related. I am currently (in 2019) writing my dissertation about dark tourism and decided to create a blog about all things travel and tourism related along the way.

 

My passion for travel started way back when I was in year 8 at high school when I was 13 years old and went on a German exchange! I love Germany, travelling round and learning the language so much, I decided to go back again the following year.

Unfortunately the trip didn't take place the year after that and the German language course I was taking was cut from the school, so I started learning French, however the year after that, my final year in high school I was given the opportunity to learn German again and went on a school trip to Berlin, which I absolutely loved and made me fall in love with Germany all over again.

In 2015 my final year at sixth form I was presented with the opportunity to travel to Berlin again, of course I couldn't say no, so in the February I went on my 4th visit to Germany, this time for the 65th Berlinale (the film festival) it was amazing and I got to meet so many talented people and see the sights of a beautiful city all lit up for the festival.

It was around the time I went to Berlin for the second time I met my (soon to be in November 2019) husband and in the November we started travelling together and have been on so many trips, Brugge, Vienna, Budapest, Tenerife, Prague, Menorca just to name a few, and of course Berlin, multiple times!
